Outdoors - Hiking and Cycling

Hiking offers tremendous health benefits. It is a cardiovascular activity that improves heart health, blood pressure, and sugar levels. Over time, it strengthens leg and core muscles, improving stability and balance. I hike with a group every weekend, covering a distance of 8-10 km. Occasionally, we also hike overseas in places such as Malaysia, Korea, Japan, and Europe.

Cycling is another excellent way to stay fit. I started cycling during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I find it relaxing and enjoyable. I particularly like cycling around the scenic Marina Bay area, East Coast Parkway, Changi Bay, and the Rail Corridor.

As you age, it is important to stay physically and mentally fit, and exercise, whether outdoors or indoors, is absolutely necessary.
